Review: Above The Flames

Above The Flames Above The Flames by Cassandra Fear
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Above the Flames is a remarkable young adult book. Its fast paced story line makes it hard to put down. I read this book in one sitting, and I was amazed that this was the authors first book. Jasmine is teenage girl that tragically looses her father, in death, and her mother, through pain and regret, on her sixteenth birthday. She encounters a demon determined to bring her to hell. Luckily Jasmine has a secret talent, she can shoot blue flames from her hands. This little trick helps her evade the demon. For the next two years Jasmine has lived with her grandparents. She has moments when she misses her parents, but she has come to love new life. She has wonderful grandparents and a romantic boyfriend. Just when everything was going her way, bam! An army of demons have escaped hell, and Jasmine is caught by an evil demon. Forced to battle Jasmine is determined to save the world from the demons. I cannot wait to see what Cassandra Fear brings us next.
