Review: Honey

Honey
Honey by Cary Marc Grossman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Brace yourself before jumping into this one: Honey and Scream’s relationship pushes the boundaries of what a couple can do to one another. In and out of the bedroom.

At 45, Scream has seen and done it all. He is still brokenhearted over the things his past loves have done, but he throws himself into his music.
At 19, Honey is more mature than Scream. She is a child actor, and is finally starting to get the more serious roles she has been after.
After meeting at a random party, they end up corresponding until they realize they are more than just friends and take the plunge into a relationship. Unfortunately, it is one they have to hide from the public eye, which they both don’t mind – at least for now – and it gives them the opportunity to deal with their own baggage first.

As you get more into the story, it gets more jumpy and confusing. You turn the page, and they aren’t together anymore, and it’s been months or years. I had to keep backing up thinking my ereader was glitching and I was missing pages. It is very sexual, but the writing is very tasteful and very sexy. It felt drawn out just over half way through as we get a lot of scenes while Honey is on set at her movies, and was tired of the jumping around every other chapter… but the ending was just right. It could use some cuts, but overall 4 stars!
