Review: Lives Collide

Lives Collide
Lives Collide by Kristina Beck
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

James’ life is completely planned. Ever since he helped in an car accident as a teenager he knows he wants to be a doctor, when Jessica enters the picture his life is completely altered. She is his soulmate and he knows he will do whatever he can to keep her with him. Meanwhile Lisa feels broken, she has lost her mother and can not bear children. She decides she wants to be a psychiatrist, specifically to help people suffering from post traumatic stress disorder. Over the years James and Lisa’s paths cross multiple times, but they don’t realize it. One fateful night while drinking at a bar, their lives will cross again and neither of them will ever be the same.

Written from both James and Lisa’s perspectives, “Lives Collide” is a heartfelt story of two people’s journeys to find their true selves. Ms. Beck first book shows a lot of promise and was quite the page turner. At times I felt like it took a little too long to move forward, but overall was very happy with how things turned out. Although the book ended “happily ever after” I thought the characters had suffered enough to be satisfied by that. I look forward to reading the next book from Ms. Beck. I rated this four out of five stars.
