Team Spirit by Ian Mayfield is a new crime thriller novel. It is a fast paced story that deals with detectives in London trying to solve multiple cases. The only hitch I had initially while reading was the British slang. However, once I realized I wasn’t in the states, the story sucked me in. The aspect I like most about the book is the characters. They almost seem too real. The dialogue and problems each detective struggles with make them truly believable. I loved the interaction between all the characters. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book. Four stars.
