Review: For the Love of English

For the Love of English For the Love of English by A.M. Hargrove
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the kind of story that once I read the prologue I knew it would be a good story. I was wrong, it was phenomenal. I was sucked in so deep in the heart of the story that I was left thinking about it way after I was done reading it.

Sheridan has worked very hard to become a teacher. This little girl literally come in her class room kicking and screaming. But English managed to wedge herself in Sheridan’s heart. With this little girl comes a single dad who’s rude, obnoxious, moody and a big JERK to everyone but his daughter, under the name of Beck. His past is about to come back and threatened his future with his daughter so he needs to find a plan. He will make a proposition to Sheridan that she will consider.

I just loved this story which involved a cute little girl. The seamless plot and beautiful writing combined, sealed the deal with me in order to make this a 5 star story. Once I started reading it, it was difficult to put it down because I was so absorbed in this highly addicting story. It consumed me day and night. Above all, the characters are what made this story so interesting. They were perfectly created to fit this storyline. From the happy, positive, awkward at time, Sheridan, to the moody, one worded prick, Beck and to sweeten it up a bit, the cute, funny, happy English.

There were many funny moments were I would find myself chuckling a few times. Also it could be sad but not overly so. I also wanted to throw my kindle at Beck’s hard head. Above all it was one amazing story that I will not be forgetting anytime soon.

This is a standalone told primarily in Sheridan’s POV with a few short ones from Beck. I strongly recommend reading this wonderful story about a single dad that I eventually wanted to hug in the end. Can’t forget to mention all the steamy hot scenes that brought the temperature up a few notches
